How Your Municipal Budget Works
Budget 2024
North Grenville’s Council adopted the 2024 Budget at the March 5, 2024 Council Meeting. The 2024 Municipal budget reflects Council’s ongoing efforts to address community needs and priorities. An increase of 3.96% has been approved, which enables the Municipality to meet its commitments, enhance services and ensure fiscal sustainability.
The Municipality’s 2024 Budget is $28 million, including capital and operating expenditures, with the assistance of approximately $3.5 million in grants and contributions from the provincial and federal governments.

2024 Community Grants
The 2024 Community Grant program will invest a total of $91,674.63 into the following community driven initiatives:
1. Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence Rideau – Promotion of volunteerism in North Grenville
2. RCSCC338 Defiant Navy League of Canada, Kemptville Branch – Recruitment Project
3. Kemptville Quilter’s Guild - Eastern Ontario Quilt Documentation Project
4. Kemptville Youth Musical Theatre Company – Permanent Installation of Cyclorama at Urbandale Arts Centre.
5. RNJ Youth Services – Increased Presence and Supports in NG
6. North Grenville Community Theatre - Romance on the Road Project
7. Kemptville Disc Golf Club – Improved Course Signage
8. Kemptville Minor Football Club – New Field Lighting
9. Jamming Around Man Productions - Music Instrument Lending Library
10. "Big Bang" at North Grenville District High School – Repair and Replace Drums
12. North Grenville Arts Guild – Local Art Shows
13. Kemptville Street Piano - Summer Concert Series and Concerts on Campus
14. Friday Drawing Circle at the Library
15. Victoria's Quilts Kemptville Branch – Providing Quilts to People Living with Cancer
16. NG Art Challenge at the Library
The Community Grant annual program provides funding to organizations to support community-based initiatives. Community Grants are funded through the annual operating budget and approved by Council every year.

MPAC Assessment Notice - November 15, 2021 Update
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), responsible for assessing property values in North Grenville, has announced that assessments for the 2022 and 2023 tax years will continue to reflect a January 1, 2016 valuation date. This does not mean property holders will not receive a property assessment notice. If you recently moved or made changes to your property you will receive a notice. The reason for the notice will be provided and can include:
- new property
- update to ownership
- change in assessed value
- change to tax classification
